Walt Mizell made a motion that Peter and Carl Newsome investigate PA systems including battery operated ones for outdoor use and make a decision on which one to buy and go ahead and buy it. Betty Brown made a friendly amendment that the cost be approved by the Executive Board prior to the purchase. The motion and amendment were seconded and approved.

NeighborWoods Program
|
Peter Hess explained the Neighbor Woods program whereby the City provides trees for people to plant near the street to shade the streets. The trees are purchased with donated money, not city funds. The city will identify possible sites in the fall and put door hangers on those houses. If people are willing to plant the trees, they can respond within two weeks, and the city will deliver the trees. Peter suggested that the association might want to provide assistance with planting the trees for people who are unable to do their own planting.
